Review - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Hello and welcome to another edition of Tech Thursday on Jabber Log. Today we welcome "ram0527", a new addition to the team who will be contributing to all things, "Tech". His first assignment was to tackle the mighty and very popular, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3". So without further ado I present, ram0527. I'm a little nervous about this...this is my first blog post ever, so don't be too harsh on me. I'm known as ram0527 and I will be talking about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Yes, I know the game has been out since November 8th excalty 2 weeks to the date, but I am here to give my honest, but late, opinion about it. The first thing I noticed was the graphics (of course). These graphics are magnificent. The attention to detail that Activision puts into the game is amazing. The ripples in the water, the vains on the hands, the explosions, I can go on for days about the details and how awesome they are , but we have a lot more to talk about. Modern Warfare now has auto aim. Which is a great idea, while playing the campaign or special ops but for online play it sucks. Moving on, the games story is moderate. I've never been into story lines, but I liked this story line. It kinda makes you think that one day this can happen.... Anywho, you continue from the end of where Modern Warfare 2 left off and takes you across the world from Europe, to Africia, to Russia. You see some old faces and some new people during game play, the missions are also better and harder. My favorite mission is the one where you are on the plane and you have to save the russian president and his daughter. The way the plane hits turbulance and you fly through the air (in slow motion) shooting the bad guys...Man, after that I fell in love!

Ok....ok, like I said earlier I don't want to give to much away, so onto the online playing. If you can get away with it, play as much as you can. These maps are harder and the game play is faster. The maps were designed with perfection. Not a whole lot of places to camp out or snipe through the whole match. You have to man up and search for other players. But be careful, because there are spots and they are really good spots. Last but not least, the special ops game play. If you chose to finally get off online playing, play the special ops menu. You have 2 options, missions and survival. First the missions, I personally don't play the missions because if you beat the campaign you already played the missions. Don't care for it so I don't have much to say about it. Like my mom always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." The survival mode is my absolute favorite! I'd rather play survival then play online. You only have one mission in survival.....survive! Just like zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops you must face waves upon waves of enemies, but these enemies have guns, exploding dogs, suicide bombers, juggernauts and many more. There are 3 stages with 5 different levels ranging from easy to insane. To make things even better you must start out with a handgun and you have to earn everything. That right there is what makes me love this game even more and more. If you haven't played this game yet, what's the matter with you? Go and buy it right now. Well I hope my first blog post wasn't too bad for you guys. Thanks for giving me a chance.

Make sure to check back every Thursday for all things tech from our writers Gamer LCM, ram0527, and Commando Chando. To pump you up even more for this game is a trailer with all the goodness that is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Cheers!
