Angela M. Johnson, MA, LPC, CFTP is former 911 dispatcher/supervisor of 18 years. She is currently PhD graduate student and Licensed Professional Counselor. Her clinical focus has been with first responders and trauma, acute mental health and substance use inpatient treatment facilities, crisis intervention, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault survivors. Her diverse background includes serving as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) instructor and consultant for a local police department and a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) peer support member. Her research interests include first responders and trauma, and 911 dispatchers and compassion fatigue.
